I'm a big movie buff and love all kinds of genres - from horror flicks, to comedies, drama and romance, etc. etc... Today's theme will focus on ♥R.O.M.A.N.C.E♥ flicks. Below, I have included some of my favorite scenes from these movies:
Titanic - Heaven Scene
The Notebook- I love when Noah says, "Well that's what we do, we fight... You tell me when I am being an arrogant son of a bitch and I tell you when you are a pain in the ass. Which you are, 99% of the time. I'm not afraid to hurt your feelings. You have like a 2 second rebound rate, then you're back doing the next pain-in-the-ass thing." LOL - on how much I can relate to this quote since I'm a pain in the ass 99% of the time. I don't mean to be :( though!
In this scene - it goes a lil something like this! Young Allie: Why didn't you write me? Why? It wasn't over for me, I waited for you for seven years. But now it's too late. Young Noah: I wrote you 365 letters. I wrote you everyday for a year. Young Allie: You wrote me?Young Noah: Yes... it wasn't over, it still isn't over [kisses Allie]
GHOST
TOP GUN - Take My Breath Away
OK - enough of this lovey dovey shit. Sorry BOYS for torturing you! I will be shocked if you made it this far with the movie clips hee heee ;)! To all my girls out there reading this. Which romance movies are on your list?
Next week, I will choose another genre. Possibly horror!

I love "Titanic".... and I love that scene. I also love the band "Berlin"... see my profile. But I've not seen Notebook or Ghost, and never plan to.
Honey I am so shocked by the scenes you chose....who knew?
The Titanic scene is the one you have had me watch a couple of times...looks familiar, kind of like a certain apartment building.
Unfortunately I have seen Ghost and I know that scene...it was spoofed very well in some comedy movie, I just cannot remember which one.
Maybe one day I will watch the Notebook with you. I know the line from the one scene.
I have mixed feelings about "Titanic", because I'm not a huge fan of DiCaprio, but I did see the movie at the theater and whenever I see it's on, I sit there and watch it. I think it's because of the special effects and how frightening it is when the ship breaks apart and starts sinking. Kind of a morbid curiosity for me. "Ghost" drained me emotionally when I saw it at the theaters, even though Whoopi Goldberg is hilarious.
My favorite girl movies are How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Something's Gotta Give. My girls love The Notebook, so I've seen it WAY too many times.
Oh and to answer your question, I think my favorite romance is "Moonstruck". Not usually a big on romance movies, but that one is funny and romantic.
Good choices for primo romance movies, Renee. My personal favorite romance is The Princess Bride. It is funny, but also very sweet.
dmarks - Berlin *R@CKS*! And I'm glad ya like that scene from Titanic.
Evil-e - Noooooooo, lol. Yes, I know I have tortured you all the times you have watched that scene with me. But it's so beautiful :)!
Tara - Yeah, the special effects in that movie were amazing! Especially watching it on the big screen, it feels so surreal. I haven't seen "Moonstruck" but may consider it. I'm not a big fan of renting movies, but if it ever comes on tv, I'll definitely check it out.
Churlita - How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days was funny - good choice!
Laura B - Thank you :)! I have not seen the Princess Bride either but if it comes on tv, I'll watch it. I've been told I look like Robin Wright Penn (Princess Bride chick) but I don't think so. But I *WISH* I did. I just think the guy who told me that has bad vision lol.
I always tell my friends and they agree that I got so lucky as my wife actually doesn't really like chick flicks. She would much rather go see an action movie or horror movie than ever see a chick flick. Not to say that the ones you mentioned are bad, they are good movies(haven't seen Notebook), but we just usually never see them in this household.
Hey Renee.. first time visiting here.. Loved "The Notebook" Very mushy and dramatic at the same time.. I balled like a baby.. And I also liked "Titanic".. The scen in the car and all that steam..
Sorry, Renee, but I cannot comment on any of this. I am not a romance fan and do not willingly watch romance movies.
Mr.Manuel - I hear ya! Sounds like your wife and you are a perfect fit and thats always a good thing! HORROR movies are my favorite as well and I'll be doing a post about that soon :)!
Mrs.Hairy Woman - WELCOME and thanks for checking my page out :)and leaving a comment! Much appreciated! And YEAH, that scene in Titanic was hella HOT :)!!! Ahhhhh Leonardo! Now him and Ryan Gosling need to appear in the same movie together :) and that would be heaven!!!
AlienCG - It's ok! I understand completely!
